2nd May 2017 – A successful marathon!
On Sunday 23rd April I ran my 5th – and final – marathon.
The sub 4 time I had trained for eluded me after I hit the wall at mile 23 when I started to walk, behind Darth Vadar. I managed 4hrs 6mins.
The atmosphere was great & the weather was perfect. Our black cabbie, David, a former 42 Commando Royal Marine, made our day when he donated our fare to the charity I was running for, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a lovely gesture.
Also our son Gianluca completed his 4th Mini Marathon admirably.
I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored me & donated towards my fundraising. We are currently almost at £4,000 !!
Many thanks to everyone for their support,
